Didn't They Say...

Yomi appeared in front of Sunagakure's main gates. She looked around the emtpy streets. It was high noon, so it was understandable that everyone was inside. She pulled her hat down a little farther open her eyes and walked into the village.

Why are we here again? People say that another Jinchuuriki lives here. I want to find out if that's the truth. You're going to go searching for another demon? Why not?

Gaara had been walking through the village, nodding to everyone who bowed and said 'Good afternoon, Lord Kazekage'. He didn't care when some of the villagers didn't greet him with respect, but it was nice when others did. He stopped walking when he noticed someone enter through the main gates, their hat hiding their face. He watched them with his arms crossed, and some of the villagers greeting him stopped to stare as well.

Yomi had been too busy looking around to notice anything, but when she looked in front of her she saw a male staring at her, arms crossed. She looked around and saw that others were staring as well.

That's the Kazekage you idiot![i]

Yomi bowed her head slightly. "Lord Kazekage," she greeted.

"Hello.." He nodded to her, his eyes showing slight questioning, though his expression showed he was relatively calm. "Welcome to Sunagakure.. from which village are you traveling from, may I ask?"

Yomi looked up at him, standing up straight. "Amegakure," she replied.

Excuse me?

"Amegakure, sir," she edited, bowing slightly.

He smiled slightly, nodding once again. "I hope you enjoy your stay in the village, if you ever need any assistance, I am usually in the mansion."

He turned, motioning with his head (magic) to the mansion that could be seen from where they were standing. "If you plan to stay for a while, there is an Inn near the mansion."

"Thank you sir," she replied politly. She looked up at him, blushing slightly. She hatted feeling stupid but Chibi did that sometimes, usually when it was least helpful.

"You're welcome." He looked back to her, glancing to the villagers around him and giving a small smile. They grinned back and went on with their day. "May I know your name?"

"It's Yomi," she replied.

Ahem? I'm not just about to tell him about you! He's the Jinchuuriki you're looking for, dumb ass.

Yomi looked up at the Kazekage.

Are you sure!? Well duh!

"It is very nice to meet you, Yomi." He gave her a soft smile, one he had probably practiced on for a while. Though, he could tell there was something on her mind, but he wasn't about to persist. He had learned the hard way what that could do. "My name is Gaara, you may call me by that if you wish."

Yomi nodded. "Nice to meet you Kazekage Gaara," she replied. She bit her lip and looked around. She wanted to ask him about him being a Jinchuuriki but she didn't want to in front of everyone.

"Is there something you would like to ask me?" He tilted his head slightly. He knew that when someone bit their lip, it meant that they wanted to say something but they were contemplating it first.

"Someone told me-" she stared slowly, looking away from him. "That you're a Jinchuuriki. That's actually why I came...to see if I would be able to ask you..."

You couldn't have just asked outloud? No. You know that that's not how I work...

"Well, they were correct, whoever it is that told you." His face turned blank, but it was merely because he was holding back a frown. "I am in fact a Jichuuriki, host of the one-tailed. Is there more you would like to know? If so, you are welcome to come to the mansion with me so you may be more comfortable with talking about it."

"Can we?" she asked quietly. "There isn't much for me to say...but I'd prefer not to say it in public..." She bit her lip as she looked at him.

Happy? Slightly. Calm down. Everything fine. You're not the one who has to talk. I can be if you want me to? Not a chance. You don't trust me? You know I do but- Please! Maybe...But behave yourself first.

He smiled again, nodding. The sand beneath them raised, and Gaara made sure Yomi was secure before he took them to the mansion. "I will take us to the mansion like this, are you alright with that or..?"

Yomi shook her head. "I'm fun," she said quietly.

They landed ontop of the mansion, and Gaara turned to Yomi. "The top of the mansion will most likely be the place where there won't be many interruptions. What is it you would like to talk about, Yomi?"

Yomi fiddled with her kunai pouch, nervous. "I was just wondering if I could find another...since there aren't many of us to begin with..."

Spit it out! No! Shut up! I'm not going to do this the wrong way! There isn't a right or wrong way, only an upfront way! Tell him what you are!

Yomi cringed.

"There are nine of us in total." He gave her a small smile. "You can be straight forward with me on this, I will not judge. Seeing as, from what I'm able to understand, we are both hosts here."

Yomi smiled slightly and looked up at him. "Is it that obvious?" she asked.

"I just wanted to find someone else...Because I knew there were more but I wasn't sure where..."

"We can be anywhere. You never know when you might run into one of us." He crossed his arms. "I met one of the most happy, determined, bright ninja I have ever seen in my life. He happened to host the nine-tailed, and it shocked me. You might meet him one day, I'm sure. I met the host of the two-tailed, as well, she was quite similar to him. Though, I'm not quite sure where she is right now.. you might run into her as well, though. Both of them are quite hard to miss."

he realized he had suddenly talked a lot more than usual, so he went silent and waited for her to speak.

Yomi smiled. "Thank you Kazekage Gaara, thank you very much. I knew that we were out there...wandering and such...But now I'm glad that I can say I've met another." She bit her lip, still smiling. "And I've glad that you're the one I met."
