Slacking Off

"It would be an honor.I gladly accept.Thank you."

"Your welcome." He looked back out to the horizon. "So.. how do you find the desert to be?"

He looked over to the horizon as well.
"Actually,Its nice.Its got a great view of the sunset.
And its somewhat quiet.I like it."

"Yes, it is quite nice here. I remember when I stayed within Konoha for the Chuunin exams, the only time there was actually any peace and quiet was during the night. The day was lively and the country is full of energetic people it seems.."

Kimimaro laughed.
"Thats true."

'Like Uzumaki Naruto..' He thought to himself. Then he heard Shukaku's voice in his mind, replying to his thoughts as if he had spoken to him. He said something about Naruto and Kyuubi, an insult at that. Gaara uncrossed his arms and put a hand to his head, ignoring his demons comment. On an attempt to avoid questions, he spoke. "On occasions this place gets like that as well.."

"Well,there is a village out here."

"Yes.. though the village isn't even half as loud as Konoha.." he said, keeping a hand on his head. "Usually it gets like Konoha during the festivals.."

"Well thats understandable.But atleast its nice other than that."

"Yeah.." He replied, closing his eyes.

'Do you not remember what this village put you through, mortal? You actually consider this a 'nice' village?' Shukaku's voice rang through his head, bringing back memories of his past. And causing him to put both hands on his head while emitting a low growl. 'Heh.. I don't even know why you'd risk your life for them..'

"Shut up.." He said quietly, opening his eyes and glaring at the sandy ground.

He looked over at Gaara surprised.
"You ok,Gaara?Whats wrong?"

He suddenly looked up to Kimimaru, the look on his face and the quickness of his movements would have scared any of the villagers living in his protection. "I'm fine.."

'Heh heh, your not fine. Not until you get that sweet taste of blood you had always killed for. I haven't had my full dose of fun since that Uzumaki kid somehow changed your perspective on things..' Shukaku growled. 'Mortal weakling.. how can you ever expect to protect this village when you can't even protect yourself from me?

He began growling louder, the demon was getting him angry. But he would try not to let it bother him in the least, knowing it was what Shukaku wanted.

Kimimaro looked back to the sunset.
Gaara's expression didnt botjer him in the least.
"If you say so..."

He kept both hands on his head. 'Shukaku.. shut your damn mouth..'

He glared at the ground as he heard the demonic laughter of the dailed-demon in the back of his mind. Then, once again suddenly, he took his hands from his head and crossed his arms, looking to the horizon.

"What do you suppose your squad members are doing at this very moment?"

"Zyrag is training and Raku is in the hospital because he was trainig wih Zyrag the Genin and got a small injury.Nothing serious.
Thats what theyre doing."

"Hmm.." He thought for a second. A Jounin got injured by a Genin and was sent to the hospital? It was strange enough, but he didn't think too hard. With a need for clearing his mind, he bent to the ground and took his hands, putting them in the sand and bringing them back up with his palms full of it. Then he made the sand raise from his palms and twirl in the air, watching it dully.

He watch what Gaara did.
"Id better go get the others."
He started walking off.
"See you later,Gaara."
He called back as he walked off.

He stayed where he was, continuing to watch the sand. "Good bye."
