Abilities: Rinnegan: Allows the user to use all ninja abilities, and gives the user the ability to see through the eyes of anyone else with the rinnegan, He uses six different bodies each with a different ability

1. Bed Cylinder Body One (Yahiko): This body is the adult form of Jiraiya's former student Yahiko. Nagato claimed Yahiko died years earlier, so it is unclear how/why Pain utilizes this form. The body appears to retain Yahiko's use of Suiton jutsu. This body was also used to summon the King of Hell statue and use the Shouten jutsu.

2. Bed Cylinder Body Two (Fuuma Ninja): This body was once a ninja from the Fuuma Clan. Jiraiya met this ninja earlier in his worldy adventures and put a scar on his forehead. It has the ability to summon multiple large animals. Like Pain, these creatures have Rinnegan eyes and multiple piercings.

3. Bed Cylinder Body ? (Waterfall Ninja): This body was once a ninja from Hidden Waterfall. It seems to specialize in close range Taijutsu attacks. It was blinded by a powerful kick from Jiraiya.

4. Bed Cylinder Body ? (Unknown Ninja): This body has the ability to resurrect the dead. It can do so by placing its blood into the wounds of the fallen.

5. Bed Cylinder Body ? (Unknown Ninja): This strange looking body has the ability to fire its limbs in a missile-like fashion. It was also the body which blew off Jiraiya's arm.

6. Bed Cylinder Body Six (Grass Ninja): This body was once a ninja from Hidden Grass. It has the ability to absorb chakra and element based attacks.


Pain is the leader of Akatsuki and the partner of Konan. He appears in the form of six entirely different bodies that share the same mind, collectively referred to as "The Six Paths of Pain" . The only common physical characteristics amongst them are their orange hair color, a number of body piercings, and the Rinnegan "Samsara Eye"). The Rinnegan, a unique eye technique characterized by a number of concentric circles around the pupil, allows the wielder to utilize any ninja ability. Pain uses it to share visual information amongst all six bodies, giving them the ability to coordinate offense and defense as if they were a single entity. Each body possesses a unique skill; the body with a large ponytail, for example, can summon a wide array of creatures, while the rotund body is able to absorb attacks as a form of defense. Following the capture of one of the six bodies by Jiraiya, a new body appears to replace it. Pain's might was enough to overthrow Amegakure's former governmental body, giving Pain control of the village and god-like status amongst its citizens.

When first meeting Pain, Jiraiya assumes the entity to have once been Nagato, an Amegakure orphan he trained in the past. Though Nagato was the first possessor of the Rinnegan that he encountered and Pain refers to him as sensei, Jiraiya begins to doubt this initial assumption when he sees Pain's six bodies, one of them belonging to Jiraiya's fellow pupil, Yahiko ). Realizing that all six bodies once belonged to ninja he encountered while wandering the Naruto world and that Nagato's body is not among them, Jiraiya risks his life to learn the secret of Pain. He succeeds and is able to send one of Pain's bodies, along with a coded message reading, "the real one isn't with them" or, in an alternative reading of the statement, "there is no real one" to Konohagakure, though he is killed in the process. Once getting a replacement body to complete his Six Paths, Pain heads to Konoha shortly afterwards so as to capture the nine-tailed demon fox before his secret can be revealed.

I heard something on the internet which said that Pein was Naruto's brother, and now I'm not sure if it's true or not cuz some people say he is and others say he isn't...

Speaking of Naruto's birth, did his mom die right when he was born or something? I can't remember..

They both died in the sealing of the Nine Tailed Fox Demon.
