"Why those who do it find pleasure out of it." He looked at Raku. "You should not take offense, especially since I was guilty for that matter as well."

"It makes me feel alive. You remember dont you?"

"Yes, I do remember." He turned his eyes back to the strange ornament in his hand. "I also remember when I had felt like that, everyone around me hated me or was just scared I would suddenly go berserk."

((ooc: Please don't ask me what the ornament thing is, I honestly have no clue. It's only there to make my posts longer, and so that Gaara's not merely staring at you or the floor O_o))

"I love it... Seeing the fear in their eyes knowing that they could die at my whim... You can feel the power in your veins."
*Raku looked towards Gaara smiling*

He sighed, putting whatever the thing in his hand was down, looking at Raku. "What are you trying to say?"

"If you have the power dont force it back.. Destroy whatever gets in your way."

"I have learned my lesson." He looked away from Raku. "Being a responsible Kage, I will not do such a thing. Those days are finished for me, I'm tired of being solitary."

"Is that what you tell yourself these days? Even when you killed your own people?"

"I am as responsible as I can be. It is not what I call myself, but instead what I wish to accomplish." He kept his gaze away from Raku. "I do not live in the past, though I understand the horrible things I have done in it. My position as Kazekage is confusing to me, I will continue to wonder why a village that hated me so, and that I hated in return, would have put me in such authority. But what I call myself has nothing to do with anyone else, so long as I live up to my own expectations and deserve the title."

"The reason why your Kazekage is the same one why i was Mizukage... They want someone strong to protect them but when theyre done with you youll be back where you started.. Is it really all worth it?"

"It will be long enough until they are done with me, I'm sure. So long as I am needed in this village, the time does not matter." He looked at Raku, his face completely blank. "Even if I am back where I started once it is all over, I could care less. Having the privilege to take care of this village for as long as they need me is all that I could ever ask for."

"And thats where i fail to understand you.. You used to be a stone cold killer.. Someone i could look forward to meeting.. Youve gone soft"

"In reality, you are the one who is soft because you have created your own personal solitude, and in the end your loneliness will destroy you." He smiled, giving a short wave to Raku. "It's been lovely seeing you, please leave now."
