Remembering

Kani is sitting on the edge of a pool wearing a black swimsuit that clashes scarily with her ghost white skin. Is dipping her feet on the water and has her head bent forward, black hair obscuring her face.

The red cat walked into the swimming area and almost ran as she saw Kani. She so badly to run up and see Kani from the front, but she stopped herself. It had been so long, had her friend already forgotten her? So instead she sat down in her place. "Meow?" She called, wondering if Kani would hear.

Kani looks up from staring at the water. Her hair fell back to show dark purple, almost black eyes.

"What?"

"Mya.." She let out a small whimper before turning into her up-right. "Kani-san? Have I forgotten your face or is it really you, meow?"

Looks across the pool. Looks confused.

"What? Neko?"

She stood up and smiled. "Yes! Yes! It's really you!" She started running to her. "Kani-san, I've missed you forever!" She reached Kani and held her arms out for Kani, she wasn't exactly sure of the amount of hostility Kani held towards her.

Stands up and looks down at Neko.

"I'm confused..."

Her smile instantly shot off her face. "Why, meow? Did I do something wrong?! I'm so sorry! How will you like me to make it better? I can wash your house if you'd like?.." She basically continued on like this.

Covers Neko's mouth.

"As annoying as ever."

She doesn't smile but you can tell that she's "happy".

She smiled underneath Kani's hand. "Meow, how are you? Well, besides being confused for a reason I don't know." She asked under Kani's hand.

Removes her hand and looks over at the pool.

"Fine...I guess..."

Shrugs and dives perfectly into the water.

"Wait!" She called, a little too late obviously. Then she sat down by the edge of the pool and dipped her feet in. "We have much to talk about.. Would you like to talk with me, meow?"

Pops out of the water, her hair is floating aroung her.

"You talk, I answer questions and comment"

She nodded and her smile grew. That's all she ever wanted. "Ok, I'll start with the basics.. Something magical happened, Kani-san! But I'm not sure if you want to hear it, you might get upset if I don't tell it right.." She frowned a bit, looking down.

"Just talk."

She started to float on her back with her eyes closed.

"Well, you see, when I came back the person who I first saw was Gaara-kun!" She exhaled quickly so Kani couldn't say anything before she continued. "But he wasn't dead, meow! A girl named Kat brought him back to life after we had left! Gaara-kun is alive now! Alive!" Neko bounced on the pool edge, hardly able to concele her exitement.

Opens her eyes and promptly dives back under.

She stopped bouncing emmidiatly, hoping that that was a good response. So she decided that she should continue on. "Umm, where did you go, Kani-san? For that long time I didn't see you? You look different, you know? But you look very pretty now, not at all with a green afro!"

Comes up.

"Green afro?"

Looks around.

"I have changed... a lot"

She nodded but looked away still, twiddling her thumbs in fear. "Umm, Kani-san, are you mad at me?" Memories flew past of a certain day by the rollercoaster.

Closes her eyes and bows her head, trying to remember a lot of things that she had forced almost out of her head.

"I don't know..."

She almost looked like she was gonna cry, but she held it in. "Mad at me.. Means we're not friends..." She whispered.

A particular memory hit her full force: her screaming at Neko in her dad's office, calling her stupid.

"I want to be friends..."

whispers "I'm sorry Neko...I am really super sorry."

A wide grin came to her face. "If you feel remorse for me, then that means," She jumped into the water (shallow end) with her clothes on and stood up. "We are complete and utter friends, meow!"

Looks over at her.

"We...how does that work? Just because I said sorry it means we're friends again?"
