Paper Work.. And More Paper Work

"I'll be able to stay as long as it's needed. Besides, it doesn't matter how long the member takes, they don't really care, but they gotta follow one main rule." Kisame said as he was following Gaara.

He turned his head and looked up at Kisame, probably reaching underneath his shoulder. "That they bring back the host they are sent to capture?"

"Nope, the only rule is don't die."

"Ah." He continued to stare up at him. "That rule wouldn't exactly matter once they are dead, though, would it?"

"You could say that, it would explain why some of my old allies aren't members anymore, now wouldn't it?" Kisame said jokingly. "So who do you think would be a good candidate for the Kazekage?"

He looked away, down the hall of the mansion since they were still in it. "I don't know."

"hmmm.... Well, what skills would someone need to make a good candidate?"

A pile of leaves blew in through an open window, landing on the floor, in a poof of smoke they turned into Akuma, dressed in his Akatsuki robe.
"Sorry I'm late. Where's Kovu?"

Gaara stopped, staring at Akuma, remembering him from the other day. It was the guy who had spaz laughter and jumped off the cliff. "..."

"What?"
Akuma looked around.
"Is there something on my face?"

He eyed the floor and gave a short sigh. "I suppose it's over, than.."

"Kisame, new orders for you, which is why I showed up. You are to track down and capture the Five Tailed. Kovu and I have Gaara for the time being..."
Akuma cracked his knuckles.
"This can be relatively painless, just gotta wait for Kovu..."
'Who isn't going to show up.'

He glanced to either side of him, then looked at Kisame, and back to the floor. It didn't look like he was going to get out of this one. 'Of course.. in the end, they got what they wanted anyway.. and my village will be in the wrong hands.. and Kani will be disappointed because she couldn't stop them. I guess I should have seen this coming.. Damn right you should've! Yeah, you're right.. well, I suppose there's no point in telling you to shut up since we don't have much longer. Fool..'

Akuma wandered past Gaara and quietly slipped something into his pocket. A note:
'Gaara, I heard you were in a mess and decided to get you out. Head to the bathroom.'

He blinked, his eyes going slightly wide. He turned his head, then took the note from his pocket, reading it, then shoving it back in his pocket. He gave a questioning glance back to Akuma, then gave one look to Kisame before starting to walk again, doing as the note said. 'Couldn't hurt, I suppose. Or, it could and you could be walking right into a trap. Oh well, we'll die anyway. But you're okay with all of this?! What about- There's nothing left. Let's not make our last conversation be the worst, alright?'

Akuma waited in the bathroom.
'Of all the stupid ideas...'

He got to the bathroom, stopping and looking up at Akuma. "Well, then.."

He stared at Akuma, closing the door behind him. 'It was merely to lead me to the real Akuma, then? So that he could kill you, of course. Oh well, whatever works for him, I suppose.'

"Get in the tub. We're going to fake your death."
Akuma made the appropriate hand signs. The bathroom was crowded with shadow clones.
"This'll be interesting."

"Hmm..?" Gaara looked confused, but he walked over to the tub and stepped into it, sitting down and waiting to figure out what was going on. 'Or.. not? Don't ask me.. This can't be possible.. I must be dreaming.. Gaara... you don't dream. Ah.. right. What the hell?! Beats me, I'm almost as confused as you are. Sure.. right. What is he planning..'

Akuma's shadow clones covered Gaara as best they could.
"Ready."
Akuma focused his chakra.
"Get as close to the bottom of the tub as possible."
Akuma sighed. His other shadow clone wearing his Akatsuki cloak wandered in, nodding.
"Okay, heads down. Oni Arashi no Jutsu!"
The entire bathroom went up in a massive explosion, opening a way out for Gaara.
Akuma walked over to the tub, ripping a piece off of Gaara's Kazekage clothing.
"Run..to Hitori. Tell her I'll be back..."
He collapsed, burnt and bloody.

"...!!" His eyes were wide, and he wondered what the hell just happened. He looked at his way out, then back to Akuma. Since he wasn't thinking properly, he told his body just to at least get away from there, so he got up and jumped out, landing down beside the mansion. He looked around, then found the best spot to make a run for it, where nobody would see him. 'What the.. what.. what the hell?! Was that supposed to happen..?? I don't know! Why am I going through with this?! Because.. you.. I'm honestly not sure. Just.. be quiet now, okay? I need to think..'

Akuma was, for all intents and perposes, clinically dead.
'The plan is working. Time to get up. Pien?'
Akuma's eyes opened and glowed red.
'Hope Gaara got away.'
Akuma dusted himself off.
"No more pyrotechnics for a bit.
