Showing Ich Around

"Is there a way I can talk to Malenko?" Ich asks

Kani's eyes flew open, since she had closed them. She stared at him, fear converting her eyes into pits.

"No. Don't know near him. I swear Ich, I'll tie and gag you if you try."

"I want to help you... you sacrificed your life to save me from the hell I lived in... now it's my turn to return the favor" Ich says, looking into Kani's eyes with his Royal Blue eyes

Kani growled.

"No Ich. I'm not letting you near him. No way. Not within a mile. I'm fine. I can take care of myself. As long as when he calls me and I come, he leaves me alone. I'm fine."

"But a while ago you were worried about him attacking me... are you having a bit of mood swings?" Ich asks

Kani growled again, masking her confusion.

"I'm making you not go so he doesn't have a chance to attack you. Just stay away from him."

"All I want is to talk" Ich says as he is about to go full out mind reading

Kani growled louder.

"I swear Ich, don't you dare go near him."

"Kani... all I want is to talk to Malenko, and if he has something in store for me... you know I'll be ready, right?" Ich says as he performs his dragon armor jutsu, covering most of his body in dragon scales

Kani stared at him as tears came to her eyes and her face became less and less defiant, until it was almost blank with sadness.

"Please...don't go..."

"I didn't activate this jutsu... what's happening?" Ich asks out loud as the scales grew sharp

Kani stared at him, getting a little annoyed.

"What the heck Ich. Yes you did."

Tears formed in the corners of her eyes.

"Please please please dont go..."

Ich went back to normal... and then, weirded out, he says, "I really didn't activate it..." he thought of something and says, "oh crap..."

"What?"

Kani suddenly felt very worried.

"What's wrong? What happened?!"

"I think that the Dragon armor jutsu has a backfire... if I use it too much... I might become a real dragon... I have to stop using it for a while... that's all... I think" Ich explains, hoping his theory was correct

Kani sighed and looked at the floor, crossing her arms as she did.

"Ok...if that's all."

"I think it might be all..." Ich says, "But I know I have to hide somewhere to keep everyone safe"

Kani looked at him.

"What do you mean?"

"Well, when I first developed this jutsu, there's this setback... it makes me kill anyone that even comes near me..." Ich says truthfully

Kani hands subconciously turned into fists.

"And this brings me back to what I was saying before: do not go after Malenko."

"If it means that much to you, ok... but anything you need... just ask..." Ich says with a smile

Kani sighed and hugged him.

"Thank you. And I'll be fine, I promise you."

Ich hugs Kani back and says, "I promise that I'll be fine too..."

Kani sbit her lip.

"So you promise that you wont go after him?"

"I promise" Ich promises
