What Am I Doing?

Kani blinked and stared up at him.

"What the hell..."

Oh god...that was the last thing that...uh

She stared up at him.

"If loving someone is being weak...then sure I'm weak," she said quietly.

She sat up as straight as she could, putting a hand behind her back to support herself.

"I'm sorry I failed you Gaara..."she whispered to herself. "I tried...and I'm still trying. I'm going to save you if it kills me."

She looked up at him.

"Like I said before, Gaara isn't here. He gave up a while ago, the weakling. Both of you are weaklings." He laughed. "Gaara never deserved my company, so now I have done what I should have done a long time ago; rid myself of him."

His teeth seemed to change, each one turning into it's own small fang(Can't word it any better than that; hope you know what I mean). He laughed, his voice gaining more of a demonic sound to it. "Fool, you should have believed me the first time I told you he was gone."

Kani shook her head, which only made her more dizzy.

"I don't believe you!" she shouted. "I don't belive you!"

It'ls like with Ryu all over again...but this time I'm not coming back.

Kani forced herself to her feet.

"Why does everyone feel the need to lie to me?" she asked, strangly calm.

"I really don't care about you, why would I lie?" He said, "What, do you wish for me to comfort you by lying and saying your beloved Gaara-kun is perfectly fine?"

He laughed again. "I pity you for believing that I would do such a thing. I'm not lying, I have no reason to."

Kani shook her head.

"I don't..." She sighed, tring to get the words together in her head. "I don't need you to comfort me," she said boldly.

She shifted her footing slightly, so that she was able to stand better.

Shit. This isn't good. I can't think clearly. There's only one thing left...

Kani looked up at him, giving him one more minute.

"Heh.. your on your death bed, kid." He grinned. "So weak.. I almost feel bad for you."

"The only comforting you will get from me is when I end your pitiful life." He got into a fighting position once again. "You gonna use your last ounce of strength yet, or what?"

"I'll welcome death with open arms," she said proudly.

She did a series of hand signs, glad that Gaara had made himself bleed so she wouldn't have to.

"Scarlet Manipulation."

(blood manipulates, wraps around gaara, and as she presses her hands together, it squeezes him and makes it feels like he's being pierced with sendo everywhere. and i dont know what you should say)

As she used her jutsu, he watched as the blood covered his body, his eyes widening slightly. It covered him from head to toe, and he wondered briefly if this was what desert coffin had felt like to others. Then the excruciating pain came, and he found himself screaming, struggling to get free from the technique. Though, no matter what he did, it wouldn't stop, and the feeling of being pierced through every part of his body continued on.

Suddenly, his screaming and struggling stopped, leaving him quiet and motionless.

Kani suddenly released the jutsu and fell backwards, smacking her head off the ground. Several spot appeared in front of her eyes and she had to force them to stay open.

Please...Gaara...

She groaned and tried to sit up but her body wouldn't obey her commands.

Get up, you're not going to die flat on your back.

But she still couldn't move, and her eyes were closing on their own accord.

The blood slid down his face, dripping from his hair. His whole body was covered in it, and it stained his once white Kage robe. His eyes were wide, and back to their normal sea green color. The veins on his face had slowly disappeared, and his teeth were back to normal as well.

His mouth was slightly open as he stood there, not moving, not making a sound. It seemed as though he were in statue mode.

At least get your eyes open!!

Kani forced her eyes open, and stared at Gaara a couple feet away. Then she noticed his eyes: they weren't demonic anymore. She let out a strangled laugh and let her eyes fall shut again.

And my work here is done...

(she thinks she's going to die but she's not)

Slowly, he dropped to his knees, falling over sideways without any further movement.

((ooc: She better not, I swear O_o

If she does, I will summon Granny Chiyo and she will bring you back to life!! :O

And then I will possibly be screwed if the Akatsuki ever get meh O_O))

(No, no, Kani's not dead, she's just seriously exhausted but she thinks she's gonna die...well, she's not passing out anytime soon. Something's wrong with Gaara and she needs to make sure that he's fine before anything happens)

Kani lay there for a couple seconds and then felt the ground shift under her. She forced an eye open.

I dont remember dieing to be this...pro-longed?

Kani forced her eyes open and rolled onto her side so that she could see better.

What? Gaara!?

She pushed herself onto her knees and crawled over to Gaara. She put a hand on his shoulder and kept her eyes closed, spots were making their re-appearance.

"Gaara?" she whisispered.

((ooc: Lmao kay good))

He didn't reply, his body having no reaction at all to the hand on his shoulder. His eyes were still wide and his mouth was still slightly open.

She shook him lightly.

"Gaara? Gaara-kun?"

Her heart started to race.

Did I...did I kill him?

His body was limp as she shook him, the expression on his face never changing.

(( oh my fucking god...is he freaking dead??!! ))

Kani was suddenly extremly alert, although her body resisted ever moment.

"Gaara...please..." she begged. "Please...Gaara, say something!"

Tears started to collect in her eyes.

He's not dead...he's not dead...he can't be...

There was a sudden twitch in his arm, and his eye suddenly twitched as well. He gasped, his body suddenly moving sideways so that he was facing the dirt, throwing up blood.

(( oh...ok! yays!)

Kani fell backwards as she drew away from him, but then she sat up and went over to him, holding his shoulders and trying to pull him up into a crouching position.

"Gaara? Are-are you ok?"

((ooc: Lol I wouldn't kill Gaara ))

Blood continued to pour from his mouth, and, now in a crouching position with the help of Kani, he tried to stop himself from throwing up any more blood by covering his mouth with his hand, but it was pointless. It was all over his hand now, sliding down his arm, and staining his already blood stained robe.

(( no...but just checking... ))

Kani stared at him and held him in the crouching position.

"T-take your hand away," she said shakily. "It'll be better."

What am I doing...if he losed too much blood...and I can't get us to a hospital...

She shook her head. She had lived by herself too long. She slowly took one of Gaara's arms and wrapped it around her shoulders.

"H-hold on Gaara. I'll get you to a hospital."

((ooc: Lol okay. And you know what's sad, I was just about to type this ooc comment in rp form ))


"K-" As he was about to say her name, he was interupted by a coughing fit. When it finally calmed down, his breathing was heavy and he looked as though he were half asleep, his eyes droopy. "Ka.. Kani.. don't strain yourself.."

(( Ive actualy dont that before...but then secretly fixed it when no one was looking XD ))

Kani shook her head, which only brought on another waze of dizziness.

"N-no. I'm not stopping until I get you some help."
