-he wrapped his arms around her and gently kissed her as he tried to calm her nerves-
"itll be alright..there'll be a new shinikage and we'll give ryukotsusei a great funeral.

That is...if Pein doesn't blow him up into little pieces...but then we could scavenge them and cremate him...I guess...

Nods slowly but leans into him for support, her face still devoid of emotion.

-holds her close supporting her and closes his eyes and silently said a prayer for the shinikage-

"Asuran...do you actualy think that he'll be able to kill Pein?"

"If he cant then I dont think anyone can kani.."

"That's what I'm afraid of..."

Looks up at the door.

"I just realized, I could have stopped him right there without even moving...but I'd probably end up dead.."

"what do you mean you couldve stopped him koishii?"

"It's this jutsu I have...I just have to give them a little cut so that blood appears and then my inner demon can go inside and incapitate them. She makes you relieve your worst memories...but here I'd just have her confuse him...and then..."

"i see..well i dont think you could stop him love...hes made up his mind and nothing can stop him..."

Is silent as she realizes that what Asuran said was true.

-he gently lifts her chin the look into he eyes-
"Everything will be ok love...I'll be here for you so you wont have to go through this alone..."

"I know you will..."

Puts her head on Asuran's shoulder and closes her eyes.

-closes his eyes and holds her close-

"Asuran...how will we explain it to the others..."

"We'll tell them the shinikage died saving many people from the leader of the akatsuki"

(gaara needs to come on really soon...or Neko needs to wake up)

"They'll probably ask why we didn't stop him..."

"We'll tell them nothing could stop him from facing his destiny"
-he said as he touched his forhead to hers and looked into her eyes-

Still has her eyes closed.

"But why was this his denstiny? Why did he have to do it?"

"Because hes the only one strong enough to do it love...I just wish I was stronger so I could do it instead..."
-he said as he looked to ground solemnly-

Her eyes fly open.

"But then you would die...isn't there a way to kill them that doesn't involve any of our friends dying?!"

"some of them yes..but pein...hes a monster...hes doesnt even show emotion in his fights..he just...kills...as if its nothing..."
-he said as he looked into her eyes with the same solemn look-

Closes her eyes and sighs, a single tear appearing under her right eye. It's the only thing to show she has any emotion at all.

-he gently wipes away her tear-
"itll be ok my love....well get through this..."

"Sure."

Chokes on the word.

"kani...."

-he says simply as he looks into her eyes lovingly and hugs her fiercely crying lightly as i do-

"thinking about this is making me scared of ever losing you..."
