Kani and Gaara's.. Hospital Room.. Thing

Kani shook her head and took a step back, extremely confused. "Wait...what...you?" She looked at him, understanding a little but still a little confused. She loved Gaara yes, and kissing him all those years ago was special...but she wasn't sure right now what she wanted. She wasn't about to start thinking these things for Shakaku to hear and she didn't want to say them outloud for Gaara. She put one hand on the wall and stared at the ground. "I love you..." she said quietly, not knowing what else to do.

He froze, any thought in his mind suddenly disappearing, leaving it blank as he stared at the floor. Quiet laughter could be heard from Shukaku. 'I was right. Ha ha ha, incompetant fools. Love is such a rediculas thing, isn't it?'

Gaara lifted his head slightly, glancing at Kani. He didn't know what to say, but he knew that he couldn't let this happen. He looked back to the floor, knowing this was going to be difficult. He loved Neko, but he never could let go of his feelings for Kani. He had gotten himself tangled in a bit of a mess, and he wasn't sure how he could fix everything.

'Ha ha ha, see Gaara, this is why I told you not to get too ahead of yourself. Did I not warn you that letting your feelings run wild would get you into a mess one day? You were better off listening to me, but no, you decided to go yor own way and ended up ruining everything, like always. Good job.'

Kani looked at him.

He's probably even more confused then I am...

She slowly walked over and put a hand on his shoulder. "Gaara?'

He looked at her again, his expression full of sorrow. He closed his eyes and turned his head, lowering his hand from his head and putting it to his chest, clutching it. "I'm.. I'm sorry.."

'Ha ha ha ha, fool! You have a habbit of ruining the lives of those around you, it seems. You couldn't get any dumber, could you? I knew all along that you should have listened to me, imbicile. But no, you didn't, and now your in a situation that could have been avoidable. Great work, why not go and eat children, kick kittens, and blow up villages? That might have been a better option for you, and I could have helped you with it. It would have been fun, but no, you'd rather get caught up in the normal human ways and not only make a fool of yourself, but hurt those you care about. You should have done what I said and continued to have no care for the world.'

Kani looked at him, worriness in her eyes. "Gaara, if Shakaku's talking to you...what he's saying is probably not true. You know as much as I do that he lies to make you unhappy." Tears came to her eyes as she reached a hand over and took the one that he was holding to his chest. She held it and looked at him for a minute, before kissing him lightly on the cheek.

((ooc: Lol we'll say Shukaku faultered with the bond for a bit XD))

He pulled her closer to him, emracing her. "Kani.. I didn't mean for this to happen.. I'm sorry.. I'm really sorry.. I always seem to hurt everyone.. even if I'm trying desperately not to.."

'Your dumb, that's why. Your really dumb. And you were dumb enough not to listen to me, dumbass.'

Kani hugged him and leaned her head on his shoulder. "Gaara, you've never hurt anyone," she said quietly, trying not to cry. "You never have..." She turned her head to kiss him again. "And you never will."

He held her tighter, lowering his head as he felt his breathing get heavier. "Kani.. nh.. Kani, I know.. I know I still feel for you.."

He pulled away slightly, pulling her into a deep kiss. He moved a hand through her hair,his other arm pulling her closer. Then, he ended the kiss and lowered his head, placing his forehead to hers. "I'm sorry.."

Kani stared at him, and she bet that if her heart beat like normal, that it would be going crazy right now. "Gaara...there is nothing to be...sorry about..."

"Yes.. theres everything to be sorry about.. I can't.. I can't change the way things turned out.. I know that.. but I.." He pulled her into another kiss, then placed his face slightly above her shoulder, closer to her neck. "I shouldn't.. but.. I am anyway.."

Kani kissed him and sighed into his shoulder. "Gaara...I can't believe we're having this argument again. You made a mistake, we all do." She kissed him and placed a hand on his cheek, turning his face so she could look at him. "If I say I forive you, will that help?"

He nodded slightly, pulling her into another deep kiss, pulling her closer to him as he did. He knew he probably shouldn't have been doing this, he knew if Neko ever found out, it would hurt her a lot. Probably more than when he messed everything up for everyone. Though, he already dug himself into an incredibly deep hole, there was no way out now. He knew he couldn't tell Neko about this, despite the fact that lying would hurt him a lot, and if she did find out, it would hurt even more for the both of them. He felt horrible, but he couldn't help any of this.

He pulled away slightly, keeping his face close to hers. "It would.. help a lot.."

She ran her fingers down Gaara's cheek. "I forgive you," she whispered. She kissed him.

He pulled away after a few seconds, moving his hand through her hair as his other hand was holding her close. "Thank you.."

Kani laughed quietly and rested her head on his chest. "I love you," she whispered.

He softly placed his cheek on her head. "I.. love you too, Kani.."

'Oh ho ho, this is good. Nice work, genius, now your screwed! Oh, don't worry, I've taken down the bond for a bit. Let's save her reaction for later, huh? Heh, I wish I had something to snack on, eh? This is gonna be good!'

Kani sighed and looked up at him. "Kind of like deja vu huh?" she said softly, her eyes sparkling with happiness. "That time...it was after you were in the hospital as well."

"Yeah, it was.." He replied, trying desperately not to think about how happy she looked. 'Look at that, see that glimmer in her eyes? She's happy, happy! And guess what? Your going to have the pleasure of destroying that, ripping it apart, crushing it! Oh, the fun! She's so happy, can't you tell? Happy happy, she's so happy. Let's watch that fall apart in the near future, heh.'

"T-then.. we went to the roof.. of the mansion.. right..?"

Kani nodded and sighed, closing her eyes. "Yeah..."

"The moon shone brightly that night.." He looked up slightly, staring at the ceiling. 'I've never seen this girl so happy before, she really does love you. Which, I think, is quite odd. You, of all people. Ha ha ha, too bad, you were a terrible choice. Think of how much she'll be hurting when she knows. Oh, she'll be so hurt. Now that, is what I call entertainment, eh? Ha ha ha!'

Kani nodded. "Yeah..." She didn't know what to say, this was the happiest she had felt since the day they were talking about. Even happier then when she found that Gaara was actually alive.

He closed his eyes, holding back a sigh. 'You know it, you know your going to be the one to break her apart. I'm sure she would have preferred dying in the forest, than for this. You bring her hopes up, now shes happy, and then you crush her, and leave her somewhere to dwell in her own pile of broken hearted depression. You really are, truly, a cold hearted bastard. I'm liking you better by the second! See, things are good when you have no care for the world, aren't they?'

(he must be! you can say what you want, with no one to hear but Gaara, and you can be as mean as you want. you are really good)

Kani looked up at him, sensing something wrong. She placed and hand on his cheek. "Gaara?" She kissed him. "Is something wrong?"

((ooc: Lmao I know, it's so fun XD And in some cases, others can hear him, and it's fun to let him dis other characters, because no matter what, if they are his friends, they can't stop him because they would be hurting Gaara LOL (though, if it were anyone else, then they probably wouldn't hesitate to try to kill him O_o)) Lmao and yeesss, I is good at RPing Shukaku!

He mustered up the best smile he could. "Oh, it's nothing really.. Shukaku's just bugging me, that's all."

He pulled her into another deep kiss. 'You keep dragging it on, don't you? Soon enough, she'll believe that your the only one for her. She'll be happy because you two will live together happily ever after, right? Wrong. Poor girl, I almost pity her for having to go through this. But I can't, because it's just so amusing!'

(that was a long occ...and what you said does make sense. when do you think Gaara's going to break the bad news? He really only needs to tell Kani about Neko, not Neko about Kani...hmm?)

Kani looked at him, smiling softly. "Shakaku should know when to shut up," she murrmered quietly. She placed her head on his chest and sighed.

Mei? Are you still there? What so you're talking to me again? I thought I was a nuisence, an annoyance, a curse! Mei, I'm sorry about that...I just wanted Shakaku off my ba- out of my head. You are annoying and sometimes you're a nuisense but you're not a curse.

Mei was silent and Kani wondered what she was thinking.
