Kani and Gaara's.. Hospital Room.. Thing

"If you don't want me to leave, I won't," she said quietly. "I don't want you to ever be unhappy."

"I'll be unhappy if.. if I ever hurt any of you again.." He closed his eyes. "I wont let it happen though.. I'll be trying so hard not to let it happen again.."

"You've never hurt us," she whispered quietly. "But I know that you'll try not to."

He opened his eyes and sighed. "Thank you.. Kani.."

Kani gave a small smile.

"You're welcome Gaara-kun."

"Kani..?" He wasn't sure what expression he had on his face at that moment. "Have you.. happened to see... Neko around..?"

Kani lifted her head off his shoulder, and still hugging him, looked at him and shook her head.

"No...I haven't seen her lately. The last time was when she came over to my place...and that was a while ago."

The only thing she could remember about that was Neko's persistancy and her own stuborness.

He frowned. "Oh.. okay.."

He was extreamly worried, he didn't know if she had merely left him, or if she was just incredibly busy with other things, or if something horrid had happened. He didn't want to think about any of them, but now that he knew Kani hadn't seen her in a while, he couldn't help but feel afraid for the worst.

"If you see her anytime soon.. tell her that I wish to see her.. if she still wants to see me."

Kani nodded and smiled slightly before putting her head back on his shoulder.

"I will, don't worry."

"Thank you.. again." He smiled slightly, then looked down the hall. "Hm.. I just remembered.."

Kani looked over at him.

"What is it?"

(heheh. funny how we're in the middle of a hallway...in a hospital...and no one has seen us )

"Were in the middle of a hallway.." He said, then felt a strange smirk come to his face. He wasn't exactly sure why. "In hospital gowns.."

Kani laughed and hugged him a little tighter.

"I don't really care," she said quietly.

"I really hope a nurse doesn't come up behind me and decide to do what they did last time.." He said, shuddering at the thought.

She looked at him.

"What did a nuse do?" she asked, a hard tone in her voice.

"Um.." He tried to remember what the nurse had called it. "Mm.. an examination.. prostitute examination.. or.. something like that.."

Kani raised an eyebrow.

"I'm not going to ask..."

"I don't think you want to know.." He shook his head. "Not at all.."

Kani laughed and pulled away from him, just holding the tops of his arms.

"I dont think so either."

((ooc: Oh o_O))

He gave a small smile. "Thank you for staying, Kani.."

Kani bit her lip and little and smiled kindly.

"It's no problem, really..."

She looked away.

He frowned, his expression suddenly concerned. "What..?"

Kani smiled and closed her eyes, taking her hands off his arms. She crossed her arms and looked at the ceiling, rocking back into a squating position.

"Nothing," she said. "Nothing's wrong."

He sighed, looking at the ceiling as well. "What's wrong, Kani?"

Kani looked at him, her smile gone.

"Why does everyone think, that just because I look away, that means something's wrong?" she asked, returning to her normal deminor.
